Certified List of Guest Friendly Hotels in the Nana Plaza & Soi Cowboy Area
Adelphi Suites Hotel $$$
6 Sukhumvit Soi 8 Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (400 m), Soi Cowboy (700 m)
The Adelphi Suites Hotel is very conveniently located 100 m from Nana BTS & around 5 minutes walk to Nana Plaza. Soi Cowboy is about double that distance or just one short BTS Skytrain skytrain stop away. The studio apartments are large and modern furnished with a nice and comfy bed, big plasma TV, sofa corner with table and a fully equipped kitchenette if you fancy having someone making your own meal. Rated in the top 10% of hotels in Bangkok and with over 95% of positive reviews they have constantly receiving the Certificate of Excellence since on TripAdvisor so you really can't go wrong here. Very Guest Friendly the staff is also superb and could not do enough for you, greeted me with a big smile when I brought back this girl. Definitely one of my favorite hotels in Bangkok, I Highly Recommended it!

Admiral Premier Bangkok $$$
Soi 23, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (300 m), Nana Plaza (1.2 KM)
The hotel is located off the main road on a quiet street while remaining at the same time only a few minutes walk away from Soi Cowboy. The rooms are nice and modern and equipped with flat screen TV's, Kitchenette with a large fridge, a nice little sofa corner to relax in, excellent air conditioning and a balcony (that in my case) didn't offer much of a view. The pool was on the roof and gave you a sensational view of Bangkok city skyline at night. The bed was very comfortable and large and the bathroom was also very nice, free WiFi is available in the rooms and is fairly fast. The Admiral Premier Hotel has also been constantly receiving the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence since at least 2014 so you know you are getting top notch accommodation and a great bang for your buck. Staff is very easy going at night, you don't even have to leave the girl's ID at the desk unless you want.

Admiral Suites Bangkok $$/$$$
38/14 Sukhumvit Road Soi 22 Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (1 KM), Nana Plaza (1.9 KM)
The Admiral Suites have the advantage of being located right on Soi 22, which has almost at it's doorstep a nice little selection of beer bars and massage parlors. While this area is quiet compared to Soi Cowboy (within walking distance 1 KM away) some of the bargirls were quite nice looking. Otherwise BTS Skytrain Asoke / Phrom Phong is near (10-15 mins walk away) and from there you can get to Nana Plaza in a matter of minutes. Hotel offers fully furnished big one bedroom studio apartments that include: Large & comfortable bed, Flat-Screen TV, decent sized fridge, huge in-room safe, small kitchenette, two small study areas, sofa, silent air-con that worked perfectly, private balcony with washing machine, Free Wi-Fi, only the bathroom felt a bit dated with a tub but no problems with water pressure or temperature. Rooms are kept very clean and the housekeeping does a fabulous job every day changing your bed and bath linen. Staff was very easy going when I brought back this bargirl from Nana Plaza at night, didn't even have to leave the girl's ID card at the desk unless you want. Conclusion: Good value/quality accommodation.

Ambassador Hotel Bangkok $$/$$$
Soi 11, Sukhumvit, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (700 m), Soi Cowboy (1 KM)
The Ambassador Hotel is located right at the heart of of Soi 11, one of the most lively street in the Sukhumvit area known for it's bars, clubs and scores of Thai ladies looking for companionship. You actually don't even have to leave the premise of the Ambassador to find women, one of the most popular Disco in Soi 11 for freelancers is the hotel's very own Climax nightclub where around 90% of the female clientele are working girls! Should you ever feel the need to explore the red-light districts of Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy these are both conveniently located only 10 and 15 minutes walk away. The Ambassador is large old-school hotel that was initially built around 40 years ago with around 800 rooms and suites spread over two wings, one old and one new. Due to this I highly suggest, unless you are truly strapped for cash, to spend the extra 10$ or so and make sure to book your room at the newer Tower Wing which has recently gone through renovations. The swimming pool located in the old wing of the hotel is quite relaxing to hang at in the daytime.
Personally my experience at the Ambassador Hotel was quite good, first the Superior Tower Wing room looked just the same than in the pictures from their website. Secondly At 35 sq.m the place feels quite roomy while having generally remained in good condition considering the date of construction. The king size bed was very comfy, Flatscreen TV offered a good selection of channels, air conditioning was efficient though there wasn't any remote for it available, the sofa and table are next to a floor to ceiling window offering views over the Bangkok Skyline, mini-bar wasn't the biggest in size but still had space to add your own drinks to the already available mix, On top of which you could find the usual complimentary free bottles of water with boiler & mix of coffee/tea, the bathroom and shower are a little tight for space but everything is brand new and very clean, room also offers lots of power points to charge your electronic gadgets, a safe of moderate size is found in the closet just big enough to fit a 13" laptop, the free Wi-Fi works for up to two of your devices offers at very decent speeds and last but not least no issues whatsoever with bringing back bargirls back up to your room, The Ambassador Hotel Bangkok is certified guest friendly! So Overall, not bad value for the great location as long as you're not expecting the latest trend in terms of room and furniture design.
- About the Hotel Photos Above: Pictures were taken during my last visit and reflect their second cheapest room: "Superior Tower Wing room".

Arte Hotel $$$/$$$$
Soi 19, Sukhumvit, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (600 m), Nana Plaza (1.2 KM)
The Arte Hotel is a brand new property which opened in Oct 2016 that caught my attention while planning my Songkran/Thai new year April 2018 trip. Location on Soi 19 was perfect for me, I was looking for a quiet area not to far from the action. Soi Cowboy is just around the corner 10 mins walk away and you can gain access to all of Bangkok through the Asoke BTS/Skytrain less than 400m/5 mins from the hotel. Initial impressions arriving were very good, Lobby is spotless, nice overall interior decor, really loved their swimming pool area on the 9th floor with unobstructed view over the city, great place to chill with bar service, good lounge area both indoors and outdoors. Hotel amenities also include small fitness room which is small in size, but seemed adequate enough.
I went with their cheapest room, the Deluxe with King bed which was modern and at 32 sq.m sufficient in size for my needs: Bed, linen and pillows are comfortable, room has proper blackout curtains when you want to sleep in late, a nice selection of channels are available on the TV, bathroom is well designed with rainfall shower, electric blinds and a good amount of free toiletries are provided. Decent storage space in the wardrobe provided, the electronic safe is modern and could easily hold a 13-inch laptop. Downsides are the mini-bar, small with little space for your own drinks and the balcony which is is quite useless as it has no chairs or view, only used it to dry my clothes during the Thai New year, other than that no other complaints, all the staff are friendly and attentive and most important of all no issues with overnight guests, the Arte Hotel is very guest friendly. Overall quite pleased with this hotel and can easily recommend.
- About the Hotel Photos Above: Pictures were taken during my last visit and reflect their second cheapest room: "Deluxe - King bed room".

Pros:
- Quiet Location only 10 mins walk to Soi Cowboy, 5 mins to Asoke BTS sky train
- New hotel with modern rooms
- Nice rooftop pool area
- 2 room keys cards on arrival
- Good Wi-Fi
- Guest friendly / Girl friendly Hotel
Cons:
- Balcony has no view or chairs
- Small minibar

Aspen Suites Hotel Sukhumvit 2 Bangkok $$
Soi 2, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (500 m),Soi Cowboy (1.1 KM)
The Aspen Suites Hotel is located on Soi 2, just a 5 minute walk to Nana Plaza. Far enough to get assure yourself a quiet night's sleep but not not too far to make it inconvenient. They also have an on demand shuttle tuk tuk to the main road if you're feeling a bit lazy. The Aspen Suites is part of the Compass Hospitality hotel group that usually get great review on TripAdvisor and this one is no exception as it won their "Certificate of Excellence 2014" award. Nothing fancy but great little 3-star hotel room with all the essentials: Large room with a big bed, Modern Flat-screen TV with DVD & stereo system, kitchenette with large fridge, microwave, 2 electric heater stove & Electric Kettle, small dining table, large closet space with safe. They also provide some very decent WiFi performance, bought me a new macbook air laptop in MBK on arrival and was able to update the OS (5.5 GB) and download all my apps without any problems. Staff are also attentive and pleasant without any problems getting this girl back in.

Best Western Premier Sukhumvit $$$/$$$$
Soi 1, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (750 m), Soi Cowboy (1.9 KM)
I'll preface by saying that the Best Western Premier Sukhumvit reviewed here is in a totally other class than the Best Western chain of hotels we are used to find in the US or Europe, this being a much more upscale version it with fresh contemporary interior decor and nice facilities like it's rooftop pool, bar and gym. Located 3/4 up of Soi 1, it's right in the back from to the renowned Bumrungrad International Hospital which makes Nana Plaza very accessible on foot around 10 minutes away. Alternatively if you don't feel like walking, the hotel also offers free tuk-tuk rides to the end of the Soi to cut that travel time in half.
The Staff, whom all spoke good English, were quite friendly and more importantly I never felt inconvenienced bringing back a bargirl at night by the security/reception/guards on duty so the Best Western Premier Sukhumvit is 100% guest friendly.
I booked the Premier King and was upgraded to the Premier Studio, which is pretty much the same exact thing besides you have an extra room next to the entrance equipped with a couch and TV. The Premier King was great, at 35 sq.m. the room didn't feel tight for space, was very modern and tastefully decorated with subtle splashes of color to create an ambiance conducive for relaxation with a big and comfy king bed is at it's center, opposite to a 40 inch LCD TV with DVD player and iPhone docking station, along which you have a good quality chair and long counter with plenty of power points if you need to do a little work on your laptop (Wi-Fi is great and good for two devices). Other amenities include a medium sized safe, usual coffee/tea making facilities, microwave and excellent black out curtains if you want to sleep in late. The bathroom was also quite nice, shower had powerful hose and different settings for the jet, separate from the tub and an abundant supply of toiletries could be found next to the sink. Only negatives I could find is the minibar & snack prices were a bit of a rip-off, so I would recommend to stock your own. Overall, you definitely can feel the step up from the usual 1500 THB/night hotels in the area, in terms of space and the overall high quality ambiance throughout. Enjoying all this was a treat, I can only Recommended!

Boss Suites Nana $$
Soi 4 Nana, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (700 m), Soi Cowboy (1.1 KM)
I've been in this hotel for a week, well priced, similar price to Nana Hotel but much newer rooms and friendlier staff (not that this is much hard to do). Rooms are very decent for the price and come with a modern open glass bathroom, The LCD TV has plenty of English speaking channels (HBO, Sundance, news, etc.) if you ever need to work on your hangover, Free Wi-,Fi is quick and reliable. Located near the end of Soi 4 they have on offer a tuktuk service to skytrain station/Nana Plaza. Free breakfast is pretty good as well if you ever make it early enough to give it a try. This is the freelancer picked up in front of Nana hotel to test the guest friendly policy with. Worked like a charm!

Rating:
Pros:
- Quick Wireless Internet in room
- Swimming pool near the restaurant looked nice but I never tried it.
- Tuk Tuk to bring you to the main Sukhumvit road on request
- Electronics keep charging when you leave the room
Cons:
- Low water pressure for shower

The Continent Bangkok by Compass Hospitality $$$/$$$$
Corner Asoke & Sukhumvit road, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (140 m), Nana Plaza (1.3 Km)
I was very impressed with my stay at the Continent Hotel Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality, the interior designers have done a bang up job, the room decor feels peaceful and vibrant at the same time. One of the benefits from staying at this newly opened boutique hotel is the extra attention that you get paid since it’s not as crowded as most other 5-Stars, the sincere and warm hospitality of the staff really makes the difference, while the Continent might look massive from the outside with it's 38 floors, there are only seven rooms per floor so it feels exclusive and private.
Some of the perks of staying here come in the form of their Sky Privilege Package which, if you don't book it right away with the room can be purchase on arrival for additional 700 THB. The benefits include free drinks: Cocktails, beers and wine between 5 and 8pm at their sky bar or H20 pool bar. I was initially expecting the all-u-can-drink service to be slow but each time before I even had time to finish my cocktail, the bartender or waiter would be there to offer me another, added to that were the free snacks which aren't the usual olives and nuts but a choice from chicken tenders, mini-burgers, sandwiches, lasagna, pasta, fruits, various desserts etc. Some of the other advantages are early and late check-out (4PM), free soft drinks from 6am to 6pm at all the bars, pool & restaurant. A complete list of the Sky Benefits can be seen here.
The Axis Spin bar & Sky rooftop bar both offer some amazing views over Bangkok, starting my evenings here quickly became a routine and after 3 hours of free drinks I was all set to hit Soi Cowboi only 200m away. Location for the nightlife and other red-light districts is also second to none as the Continent Bangkok is just next to the Asoke BTS Skytrain & Sukhumvit Subway line which will get you to Nana or Patpong quickly and with minimal walking. Soi Cowboy is at the back, 2 mins walk only. Other amenities worth mentioning are the rooftop pool on the 37th floor with bar and a few sun loungers around, not the biggest but great for a dip on a hot and humid day, as well as a proper equipped gym and a restaurant where the free buffet breakfast is served. I have tested their joiner policy with this bargirl and can confirm that the Continent Hotel Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality is indeed certified Guest Friendly.
The rooms in the hotel are tastefully designed and immaculate, I have stayed in Deluxe Room configuration, which is the cheapest category on offer and although not large at 28 sq.m they are cosy and modern with a lovely turquoise/blue color scheme. The king size bed offered just the perfect comfort level (neither too soft nor too hard), Flat-screen TV seemed to have a reasonable amount of channels (around 60 but I didn't spend much time going through it), WiFi was great, no issues with streaming HD content, air-con was silent, mini bar is a little small but you can find some extra drinks and snacks hidden in a side cupboard next to the fridge.
Bathroom was nicely furnished with a great walk in rain shower, toiletries are good and can be found in the relevant drawers, plenty of power points around the room so you can plug in all your electronics devices, the only drawback is when the times comes to hang up your clothes and unpacking, as the room is quite compact, the wardrobe is actually hidden behind the sliding bathroom door so you can't open both at the same time. Felt a little like playing Tetris when you wanted to go into bathroom or get something from the closet and safe. Other than that great stay, the Continent Bangkok is a great little boutique hotel that punches well above its category and weight. Highly Recommended!
- About the Hotel Photos Above: Pictures were taken during my last visit and reflects their most basic room: The "Deluxe Room".
Rating:
Pros:
- New 5-star Boutique Hotel
- 200 meters from Soi Cowboy and just next to the Asoke BTS
- Excellent staff!
- Perks of the Sky Privilege Package
- Certificate of excellence since 2016 from Tripadvisor.com
- Guest friendly / Girl friendly Hotel
- Standard rooms are a little small
- Can't have both the bathroom sliding door and wardrobe opened at the same time
- Dear Sir/Madam, in regard to your query, we’re pleased to informed you that we do not charged for bring the guest to the room. However his/her ID card will be required to register at the reception for our security reason only and we will return to him/her upon departure.
I have stayed quite a few times at The Dawin Bangkok since the ± 5 year it was built, a nice little hotel located on the quieter end of Soi 4, just 5 minutes walk from Nana Plaza and it's nightlife. Facilities at the Dawin are limited but include a rooftop pool on the 7th floor, even though on the smaller side it's still a great place to cool off during the hottest part of the day or just relax at with a hangover, I also enjoyed their restaurant/bar with outside seating area, it serves good food and offers drinks at cheap prices. The staff are very friendly, better than in many 4 or 5-star hotels, got a great vibe from them each time each time, always chirpy and professional, especially the girls in reception. Very easy going with overnigtht guests, even thought the bargirl I brought back from Nana plaza forgot her ID there the security still let her in with my approval, so Dawin Bangkok Hotel is also more importantly very guest friendly.
At 22 sqm the Standard rooms are definitely a little tight on space, but if you are like me and spend most of your time outside it's not that much of a deal otherwise I suggest you upgrade to their Superior or Deluxe category at respectively 27 & 35 sqm. Apart from that, the rooms are spotless and quite comfortable with a very decent set of amenities including: A cozy king-sized bed with perfect pillows, 32" LCD TV with access to around 85 local & international channels, Wi-Fi is a little annoying as you get too quickly logged out when idle but it works, small minibar offers drinks at decent enough price, little working desk in the corner, wardrobe with proper storage space and safe deposit box inside, leather couch, coffee and tea making facilities, bathroom with set of free toiletries and glass shower cubicle. During my many stays never found it to be noisy in any of the garden facing rooms, even with those facing the road outside noise could barely been heard. Pretty good value for money, considering the hotel's location, style, comfort and excellent staff, no wonder they once again been awarded Trip Advisor's certificate of excellence every year since 2015.

Dream Hotel Bangkok $$/$$$/$$$$
Soi 15, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (500 m), Nana Plaza (600 m)
Located off Sumkhuvit road just 6 minutes to either Asoke or Nana BTS stations you are literally right in the middle of things, halfway between the go-go bars of Soi Cowboy only 10 mins walk away and those of Nana Plaza 15 mins in the other direction. With a wonderful modern classy design, the Dream Hotel is a very popular Bangkok institution, the property is split into two buildings just across the street from one another, both have separate reception desks and staff but the amenities are shared across the buildings. The first one houses the restaurant, which provides large buffet breakfast every morning at no additional charge, a trendy bar which offers some amazing deals during the evening like all you can drink cocktails for 3 hours and their signature Spa. The second building, has the rooftop pool and bar, as well as small gym with limited facilities. So depending on which amenities you plan on using most you might like to request a room of your choice in any particular building. From check-in to check-out, to bringing back bargirls to the hotels, staff was fantastic and easy going, so no issues with joiners here the Dream Hotel is certified Guest Friendly.
The Premier King room I booked was a bit on the small side, however very cleverly designed with blue lighting oozing from under the bed, desk and sink and many other unique little fittings created somewhat of a wow factor. Beds are extremely comfortable, to the point I found it hard sometimes to get up in the morning, really impressive! TV offers a very decent selection of channels, the corner chair is very comfy but a little in the way due to lack of space, Wi-Fi signal gets a strong signal throughout the property and one log-in supports up to 6 different devices, bathroom was clean and functional with plenty of towels and toiletries and the shower strong and powerful, no problem with closet space there's lots of space for your stuff. Just stay clear from the minibar! The price list for just a beer and a small bottle of water will buy you dinner in town. They have been awarded once again in 2016, the Certificate of Excellence on TripAdvisor so you really can't go wrong here.

Dynasty Grande Hotel $$/$$$/$$$$
Soi 6, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (300 m), Soi Cowboy (1.2 Km)
The Dynasty Grande is a basic, clean and well maintained property that enjoys a premium location on soi 6, just far away from the noise and chaos of the redlight district to have a quiet stay, while the best of Bangkok's nightlife is still within easy reach: From your hotel room, it's no more than a minutes walk to Soi 4 or about 5 minutes to cross the gates the biggest adult playground in the world, Nana Plaza! The Dynasty Grande has been around a while so don't come here expecting for all new modern accommodations, but for the area it usually offers some very competitive prices which explains it's popularity. Amenities include a pool on the 3rd floor, nothing spectacular but big enough (20m x 5m) with plenty of room around for sun bathing, a full sized gym and a restaurant where you can also sit outside for a cold beer before heading out. Staff around the desk are always very welcoming and speak good English, security is easygoing, no drama or fuss with your overnight or short time guests.
Here are some more pictures of the features you can come to expect at the Dynasty Grande:
I stayed in their Grand Deluxe room and although the rooms are by no means brand new, they comfortable and are feel spacious enough at 30 sq.m. Rooms have a wooden floor with a big king size bed at it's center that didn't get in the way of a good nights sleep, opposite to the bed is the 32-inch flat screen and dvd-player which offered a decent selection of channels with very clear reception, a two seater sofa and coffee table is found just next to the bay view window and a small work desk and chair with mirror in front faces the left corner of the room, so issues with any of the amenities, the A/C very quiet, mini bar well stocked with the usual daily complimentary 2 bottles of water & tea/coffee making facilities, just maybe the Wi-Fi at peak hours would be a little slow. The only thing lacking were the power points, only 2 available in the room and none near the bed, bathroom has a separate bath and shower with a basic set of toiletries.
So in the end if you are searching for luxury modern accommodations you can skip this hotel, but if you need for a clean, quiet hotel in a great location for the nightlife at a very reasonable price then Dynasty Grande should definitely be considered.

Part of the Frasers Hospitality Group which own luxury properties in 50 of the world's major cities, the Fraser Suites Sukhumvit offer quality serviced apartments, studios and suites. Recipient of Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence every year since 2013 they have consistently won the award every year since it's inception in 2010 so you know you are getting your money's worth. Facilities found at the hotel include Above Eleven, one of the rooftop bar & restaurant in Bangkok currently getting a lot of buzz for it's chilled Central Park inspired decor and Nikkei cuisine (Peruvian-Japanese fusion), a swimming pool, sauna, fitness room and a newly opened very good Indian Tandoori Grill & Restaurant. Last but not least, gave a try at their guest friendly policy with a girl from Nana Plaza I picked up just before closing time and had no problems bringing her up to my room late at night.
Here are some more pictures of the features you can come to expect at the Fraser Suites Sukhumvit:
My experience at Fraser Suites was really good, they offer spacious and modern serviced apartments that had me feel right at home from the moment I stepped in. The choice of decor & furniture is very pleasing to the eye, also adding to the appeal are the rooms wall-to-wall windows that provide some excellent views of Bangkok's skyline. The 1 Bedroom Deluxe I booked had all the amenities one could ask for, separate living, dining and bedroom areas, nice rugs and wooden floors, LCD-TVs in both the living room and bedroom, great sound system, fully equipped kitchenette with convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge & freezer, washer/dryer with complimentary washing powder & fabric softener, coffee/tea making facilities, crockery, glassware and cutlery etc. High speed Wi-Fi, big electronic safe, large bathroom with separate rain shower/bathtub and a good selection of free toiletries. In the end Fraser Suites are highly recommend to anyone looking for impeccably clean and modern serviced Apartments in Bangkok.

Galleria 10 Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality $$/$$$
Soi 10, Bangkok | Distance: Nana plaza (700 m), Soi Cowboy (850 m)
Galleria 10 Sukhumvit by Compass Hospitality is a trendy little boutique hotel tucked down Soi 10 in a quiet area only 3 to 5 minutes walk from the main Sukhumvit road. Location is quite convenient as you can reach both Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza by foot in just a little over 10 minutes. The public areas are tastefully decorated and modern while a 70' & 80's theme runs throughout the hotel floors and rooms where each individual one is is dedicated to a specific rock star or band of the era. Highlight is the rooftop pool and restaurant/bar with plenty of comfy loungers around playing relaxing background music at just the right level where you can enjoy your drinks quietly, it's definitely not the biggest of pools but enough for a dip to cool off from the Bangkok heat. The gym is on the same level, it's also small but has good and new equipment, TV's and air-con. At the ground level you will find another bar and restaurant where the breakfast is served, It's the usual continental type with local Thai specialties thrown in the mix, there's also an egg section to customize your omelettes and such, good selection overall I doubt you'll go hungry here. Staff are great, very friendly and warm, checking in was painless and I was even treated with a free ice cream cone while I was waiting. Regarding overnight guests they are just as easy going, no fuss, no drama or weird looks.
Here are some more pictures of my Deluxe-Chill room at the Galleria 10 Sukhumvit:
I booked the cheapest "Deluxe-Chill" category and was escorted up to to my room. As soon as you step out of the elevator, a cool 70's/80's feel embraces you while music of yesteryear's plays in the background as flashy colored lights guide you to your room. I was shown to my "Alice Cooper" room, which at 25 sq.m. wasn't exactly huge but clean and very modern with neon blue lighting that would surely set the mood just right for later when it was time to bring back some company for the night.
The rooms come equipped with a 40-inch LCD TV, big comfy bed, blackout curtains that really work for when you want to sleep late or nap, desk area with broadband Ethernet connectivity as well as easy plug-in hookup to HDMI if you want to play something from your laptop, modern electronic safe, very efficient air-con system though a little loud at times, closet with iron and ironing board, kettle with tea/coffee bags, mini-bar (bit small to my taste), bathroom was smallish too but modern with a great shower that had both a rain shower and regular nozzle, basic toiletries are provided.
Overall, I had a nice experience here, liked the quiet location not far from the action, by no means 5-star but the facilities are modern and quite nice in regards to the price tag around the 2000 THB mark.

Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 $$$$
Terminal 21/Asoke, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (250 m), Nana Plaza (850 m)
There are a hundreds hotel to chose from in Bangkok but if you are specifically looking for a 5-Star option around the Soi Cowboy & Asoke intersection you should really consider the Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21, as it's got a lot going for it!
First and foremost is it's unbeatable location, towering high above the Terminal 21 shopping mall, not only are the Asoke BTS Skytrain, MRT subway line and mall directly accessible through the complex but Soi Cowboy, one of Bangkok's top red light district is literally just across the street.
Secondly the large wall to wall windows with its motorized blind and curtain that open up to spectacular views over the Bangkok skyline with Soi Cowboy in plain sight just below. Then the fabulous 40 meters long infinity pool area with water immersed lounge chairs, jacuzzi tubs which all offer nice and relaxing views over the Sukhumvit area. The fitness room is just next to the pool made in a large circular space with stationary bikes, treadmills, step master, weights and Nautilus equipment all face the outside landscaped areas with floor to ceiling windows. On the opposite side on the same floor is a huge grass courtyard that leads to a putting green and two tennis courts. Just how many chances do you get to practice your serve or putt above the city skyline?
The hotel was built 3 to 4 years ago, so it's still quite relatively new and the stunning decor both inside and out reflect this. Staff were very nice and professional, great English skills while very easy going with my overnight guests so the Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 is certified Guest Friendly!
Here are some more pictures of my Deluxe room at the Grande Centre Point Hotel:
I had initially booked the deluxe room (without bath tub) and was upgraded to a bigger Premium Deluxe Room (with tub), this gesture seems to be very common practice at the Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 when the vacancy levels are low and is very much appreciated.
My 40 sq.m, Premium Deluxe Room was spacious with lots of natural light and the use of tile instead of carpet gave it a clean atmosphere and modern design feel, because it is a relatively new property and due to the excellent maintenance, the rooms are always sparkling clean.
What I loved most of all was the huge comfortable bed and massive window with electric curtain and blind that i mentioned earlier, there's also lots of power points that don't turn off when you leave the room which is an essential feature to have with all the electric gadgets we carry around these days. Rooms have very little furniture so it doesn't fell cluttered, just an easy chair, sofa and desk next to the window and TV, which is a large LED 40" model that offers a great selection of channels, the high speed Wi-Fi was very welcome, I was able to upload GB's of data quite easily, all while streaming some movies in HD at the same time. There's a little kitchenette corner together with a multi-purpose microwave/grill if you ever need to heat up snacks and a very large refrigerator so you can stock up on drinks and supplies, no pesky mini bar that fill up in no time, you got a nice big bench to put your luggage on and if you rather to keep everything clean and tidy there's always of course the wardrobe. The bathroom is opulently appointed with modern fixtures including bath tub, separate walk-in shower and one giant sink, toiletries were sufficient, the heated and fully automatic Japanese toilet deserves a special mention, I had fun exploring all the different functions it offered. Overall, great experience and duly recommended!

- Big modern rooms with heated Japanese toilet

Grand President Hotel Bangkok $$
Soi 11, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (800 m), Soi Cowboy (1100 m)
Grand President Hotel Bangkok has a brilliant location right in the middle of Soi 11, one of the most popular streets of the Sukhumvit area known for it's bars, restaurants and nightlife. Around 10 mins walk to Nana plaza or 15 mins to get to Soi Cowboy, otherwise the Nana BTS Sky Train System is just 5 minutes away just at the top of the street so you can get anywhere fast in Bangkok. The hotel is divided into 3 buildings referred to as towers, Tower 3 which hosts the cheaper standard rooms had apparently been redecorated in 2013 and this is why I decided to stay here this time around, Tower 1 has the reception and has a mix of both suites and deluxe rooms & Tower 2 suites only. While the hotel is old-fashioned they offer guests bigger than average rooms and have a decent set of amenities with include three swimming pools, two gyms, two restaurants and a café. The Grand President Bangkok Hotel is a very well know guest friendly hotel and has been for many decades now so no worries here bringing back joiners up to your room.
I stayed in their Standard room in Tower 3, which comprises of the lowest category of rooms, but it worked out ok for me as they have been overhauled a little while back. Rooms are large and well-appointed but definitely still showing a bit of wear and tear, however they are still very practical and well equipped. Amenities include: A comfy king sized bed with bedside control panel and couch next to it, Sony LCD TV, big apartment sized fridge with few mini-bar items inside (sold at these prices), kitchenette with microwave oven and all the necessary crockery and cutlery for a quick snack in the dining area, water boiler to make your morning coffee/tea, closet with lots of storage space and huge electronic safe inside. The bathroom offers a very limited set of free toiletries and is comprised of a bath/shower that I found to be extremely temperamental and never stayed at the set temperature. Other downside is the Wi-Fi was not working properly during my stay. In the end an old-school hotel with bigger than average rooms and very affordable rates but starting to show it's age.

Rating:
Pros:
- Big rooms
- big full sized fridge, very big electronic safe

- Some parts of the room have a little tear, could do with coat of paint
- Getting right water temperature isn't easy and same for keeping it there

Hotel Icon Bangkok $$/$$$/$$$$
Soi 15, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (500 m), Nana Plaza (800 m)
The Icon Hotel Bangkok is one of my favorite new boutique hotels in the Sukhumvit area, opened two years ago it has a brilliant location on Soi 2, tucked back just far enough for the noise levels to be kept to a minimum with all the action of Soi 4 and Nana Plaza just around the corner 120 meters away. Getting around Bangkok is also a breeze since both BTS Skytrain stations Phloen Chit & Nana station can be reached in less than 10 mins on foot or alternatively by using the free hotel tuktuk shuttle to the main street. Facilities at this modern boutique hotel include a great little rooftop pool that was a welcome break from the heat in the afternoons plus offered some nice views over the Bangkok skyline at night where you can relax with a drink from the adjacent bar, there's also a small gym with a couple of cardio equipment and enough weights for some leisurely exercise but nothing too serious. Staff was quite friendly, especially the girls at the reception and door man, good security as well and no problems whatsoever showing up with overnight guests, the Icon Hotel Bangkok is certified girl friendly.
Arriving early after a long flight they upgraded me to their 'Iconic Room' on the top floor, same level as the pool/bar area and gym. With the hotel itself being brand new (just under 2 years) the room was just what you’d expect it to be, modern, spacious and spotlessly clean with a big floor to ceiling window, cool lighting and everything catered for. Amenities included a comfy king size bed with softish pillows, 40” flatscreen TV, silent air-con unit, great Wi-Fi, no drops and worked absolutely perfectly in the room or any of the common areas, never had to re-submit the password during my whole stay, large electronic safe for laptop, small mini-bar stocked with a few drinks and snacks at these prices, large wardrobe, boutique type of sofa chair, great bathroom with a glass enclosed waterfall shower with two types of shower heads and a generous amount of hotel brand toiletries. My only problem was that there were now power outlets next to the bed which made it a bit of a hassle to charge electronic devices and use them while lying on/in bed, not a major problem but annoying nonetheless. Very happy to have discovered this hotel, would recommend to anyone, awarded the Certificate of Excellence by TripAdviso every year since it opened in 2015 .

Jasmine City Hotel $$$/$$$$
Soi 23, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (140 m), Nana Plaza (1.1 Km)
The Jasmine City Hotel enjoys a premium location on the corner Sukhumvit Road & Soi 23 in a vibrant area just a stones throw from one of the two main red-light districts of Bangkok: Soi Cowboy, which can be reached within a minutes walk. The other, Nana plaza, can also be easily accessed within two short stops using the modern Aoske Skytrain station (here seen from my room) less than 5 minutes away.
Jasmine City is more of a serviced apartments, studios and suites complex than a regular hotel where you can enjoy bigger than average rooms. Facilities include a small but well appointed swimming pool on the 10th floor sheltered between it’s twin towers, limiting a bit the sun bathing but nonetheless a very relaxing area with loungers and chairs that never got crowded during my stay, great place to cool off from the Bangkok heat with a few laps. The staff were friendly and since Soi Cowboy is just around the corner, very accustomed to guests bringing back bargirls overnight.
Here are some more pictures of my Executive Jacuzzi Suite at the Jasmine City Hotel:
I must say that just arriving from a 25 sq.m. hotel room in the Sukuhmvit area, my Executive Jacuzzi Suite instantly felt like a breath of fresh air with all that extra space provided. The suites are well-equipped with everything one could need for an extended stay in Bangkok, in line with the apartment concept there is a separate room on hardwood floors for the kitchenette that comes furnished with a large fridge/freezer, sitting area, cooktop with microwave, utensils, plates etc.
My bedroom area located on the 10th floor was quite cozy offering a good view onto Sukhumvit Road and while the area is bustling day and night thanks to double-windows everything remained very quiet. The decor could feel a little bland and a bit tired to some, but rooms are well-finished and in the end proved to be perfectly adequate for me as I'm not too picky, the bed was spacious and a quite comfy, TV offered a good selection of movie channels, Wi-Fi was excellent, rooms well-ventilated and no issues with the A/C, in the end everything worked perfectly.
The bathroom was a tad dated but clean and wide enough, it's highlight of course was the Jacuzzi and a huge window which looked into the room, free toiletries are of course also provided.

138 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (230 m), Soi Cowboy (1.1 Km)
The Landmark Hotel Bangkok was Sukhumvit's finest when it opened three decades ago, now the grand old lady might have lost a bit of her polish but still offers some good value today since a complete renovation of all the rooms has taken place over the last 5 years. Location is second to none, this gentle oasis of peace is right at the heart of Bangkok's red-light district just around the corner from Nana Plaza which you can see from some of the Hotel rooms. DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit $$$/$$$$
Soi 2, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (300 m), Soi Cowboy (1.2 KM)
The DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit (Formerly: Majestic Grande) is an elegant 4-star hotel strategically set back only 100 meters or so from the raucous Soi 4 area. A major advantage of staying at this location on soi 2 is while you are only very short 3 to 4 minutes walk from the nightlife of Nana Plaza you don't have to worry about getting a good night's sleep once you are done with the partying, the hotel and street it's on are very quiet. Getting around Bangkok is also a breeze since both the BTS Skytrain Phloen Chit & Nana station are less than 10 minute walk away. The Hotel which has been opened since the late 90's is in very good condition and extremely well run, everything from the reception staff to the housekeeping through the bar and restaurant and I found the service to be excellent. No wonder they were awarded almost year after year Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence since in 2014... No issues bringing back bargirls from Nana, just drop her ID card on the way at security guard's desk whole process is quick and and non-intrusive so the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit is definitely confirmed to be guest friendly. The hotel facilities include: Small pool on 7th floor with sun loungers, well equipped gym, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, 2 restaurants & bar.
Here are some more pictures of the features you can come to expect at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit
The room standards was very good, even by booking their cheapest room, the decor and color scheme of the Grand Superior Room with it's shag carpet around the bed was very much to my liking. All the modern conveniences and comforts which one expects of a room in a 4-star hotel were covered: Big comfy bed, a 40" Flat Screen TV with a wide selection of international channels, quiet and efficient A/C unit that stays at desired temperature, all of which can be controlled with room lighting from a unit by the bedside, big electronic safe with lots of storage space, reliable and fast Wi-Fi, lots of universal plug points, tea/coffee making facilities, minibar is a cramped with little space if you want to add your own drinks but offers a nice selection of snacks, room also has a little desk and a table with comfortable chairs from where you can enjoy the view over Bangkok, the bathroom is is a little tight in size but neat with shower and tub with an adequate set of toiletries.
In the end I can honestly say I was very pleased with my stay: Good rooms, good location, good staff, good value, Need I say more?

Majestic Suite Hotel $$/$$$
Soi 4-6, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (50 meters), Soi Cowboy (1.1 KM)
The Majestic Suite has a lot going fot it! First it's location: From your hotel doorsteps to the Nana Plaza entrance you have less than 50 meters distance! Can't get any better than this just on par with Nana Hotel. Second the Staff: They seem to be on a mission to ensure you’re happy always welcoming you with a smile no matter how many girls you bring in & out, a far cry from the grumpy Nana hotel Staff you often encounter. Third the Award: Rated with over 80% of positive reviews on TripAdvisor, The Majestic Suites Hotel has been constantly awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence since my first ever visit in 2014 so you're sure you are getting some good value accommodations for it's class. Now for the Rooms: Definitely not the biggest you'll come around in Bangkok but in terms of comfort it is all good. They are kept spotless and are well-appointed with a large comfortable bed with a flat-screen TV with a selection of English speaking channels, mini-bar with decent prices including a range of spirits, good air-con control, safety box big enough to accommodate my laptop & a few other things, fast and reliable free in room Wi-Fi, complimentary water with boiler and free coffee/tea packets, bathroom is a standard en-suite with toilet and combo bath/shower and free toiletries. Petals Inn $$/$$$
Soi 4, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (270 meters), Soi Cowboy (1.3 KM)
Petals Inn is a new hotel that opened for business only a year ago on Soi 4. The location is spot on, Nana Plaza being a very short (270m /±3-5 mins) walk away, just far enough not to be bothered with noise from the bars and nightlife. Their Superior room was a little on the smaller side at 22 sq.m. but very clean and modern with all new amenities including: Comfortable bed, LCD TV, cold A/C, mini bar/fridge, electronic safe, strong Wi-Fi room signal, large modern bathroom with a powerful hot shower, Tea/Coffee making facilities, etc. Windows are opaque glass so you can't see anything from outside but I think that's actually a good thing because the view would probably suck and you still get plenty of sunlight in. Very nice & helpful staff at the the front desk, no problem with bringing back this drunk bargirl one night. In the end I was very happy for the 40$ I paid, Petals Inn had barely been opened and already been awarded the TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence 2014, 2015 & 2018 so I strongly recommend this new property.

Royal Ivory Sukhumvit Nana $$
Soi 4, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (600 m), Soi Cowboy (1.0 KM)
Just 5-6 minutes walk from Nana Plaza, the Royal Ivory Sukhumvit has a good location in a relatively quiet area near the end of Soi 4, they also offer a free one way tuk-tuk service to the BTS Nana Skytrain Station so Soi Cowboy is only one stop away. Staff are nice and friendly and there is no problems with overnight guests but having previously used this hotel over the years on a few occasions, it is disappointing to see that standards have been slipping. While the prices have gone up, nothing seems to have been invested back into upkeep so the place has seriously deteriorated.
Here are some more pictures of the features you can come to expect at the Royal Ivory Sukhumvit Nana by Compass Hospitality in Bangkok:
The rooms are spacious and the bed big and comfy but the décor and fittings are in a really sad state and need a serious makeover. The deluxe room comes with a small kitchenette including micro-wave, electric plates and cutlery, a full sized fridge, older generation TV, slow Wi-Fi, tiny safe that couldn't fit an iPad, very old sofa, a table with chairs and bathroom with shower. To give credit to the hotel, I have heard that a few of the rooms have been newly been refurbished, but at the current rates or until this process is fully completed I feel you could probably pay just a few more dollars and get a smaller room in a much nicer hotel in the area or pay a lot less to get something only slightly more worn down.
Rating:
Pros:
- Near Nana Plaza but hotel in quiet location
- Spacious rooms
- comfortable king size bed
- guest friendly / Girl friendly Hotel
Cons:
- tired rooms, tired hotel
- swimming Pool was very small
- slow Wi-Fi
Guest Friendly policy reply by Royal Ivory Sukhumvit Nana Hotel in Bangkok:

Sukhumvit Suites Hotel $$
403 Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok | Distance: Soi Cowboy (100 m), Nana Plaza (1.3 KM)
The rooms are very modern, clean and well maintained with large bathrooms that have a great shower. There are no patios on any of the rooms and the rooms are all no-smoking but the hotel offers a serviced outdoor patio off the lobby where you can order the drink of your choice, and smoke if you desire. The wireless Internet was free. The staff here were friendly and helpful. Asoke BTS Sky Train is right next to the hotel and Soi Cowboy is only 100 m away so it doesn't get much better than this location wise. SM Grande Residence $$/$$$/$$$$
Soi 4, Bangkok | Distance: Nana Plaza (270 m), Soi Cowboy (1.3 KM)
This was the first time I gave the SM Grande Residence a try, I usually stay elsewhere in Soi 4 but it turned out to be one of the cheapest hotels available in Agoda a day in advance. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes walk from Nana plaza so you while you are very close to nightlife/entertainment area, it's still are far enough for it to be reasonably quiet at night. Good 24-hour security on the spot, had no problems walking in with Soi 4 freelancers or Nana bargirls, just drop her ID and off you, no nagging or forms to fill in so you can rest assured that the SM Grande Residence is guest friendly. Facilities at the hotel include a Gym, Pool, Jacuzzi (not working when I was there), sauna and steam room.
Here are some more pictures of the features you can come to expect at the SM Grande Residence:
I stayed in the Deluxe room, which was fairly good and included a kitchenette complete with washer & dryer, microwave, electric stove, pots and pans and a lot of stuff I'll never used but fully functional for those who might. Other amenities include: Good sized bed that provided me a good nights sleep, TV of an older generation but big enough and with a good selection of channels including Pay TV,very small safe that couldn't fit a tablet, good A/C unit, decent Wi-Fi signal, a wardrobe with good storage space, small mini-bar, bathroom has a shower and toilet including a basic set of toiletries.Room also a balcony looking onto Soi 4, Overall not a bad deal for the money I paid, rooms are a bit dated but nothing over the top.

Hotel interior is also quite modern and amenities include a small swimming pool and bar operating from 7AM to 8PM. A good location, very easy to access to all the transport (BTS, MTR). Not to far to the night life and red light districts, you just have to walk a few minutes. This is an all-suite hotel where the smallest suites start at 71 sq.m. Rooms are big and clean : Nice living room area, kitchenette, etc. really with everything you need for a home away from home experience. Only thing that can be improved are the curtains in the bedroom, it gets light in the room very early so hard to sleep a bit longer. Amenities include a great rooftop pool overlooking Bangkok. Overall, very positive!
